You are cordially invited to participate in this half day workshop to be chaired by  Baroness Tessa  Blackstone.

Baroness Young, Chair of the House of Lords Inquiry into the EU contribution on the modernisation of higher education, and Peter van der Hijden of the Commission.

The  workshop  takes place in the run up to the meeting of the Bologna ministers of higher education on April 26-27, and the forthcoming publication of the House of Lords Select Committee report on the modernisation of higher education. It offers a multidisciplinary approach to the  question of whether Europe's present crisis provides an opportunity, or even a necessity, to reframe issues of the integration or Europeanisation of higher education.

 

The workshop will take place at LSE in the European Institute building in Portugal Street,  Cowdray House. The meeting room is on the first floor (COW 1.11). Coffee will available from 0915.

The  programme is attached. The workshop is free but registration is required.
