*With apologies for cross posting*
Dear Colleagues,
You may be interested in attending this forthcoming event which is part of our Assessment and Feedback Workshop and Seminar Series.
Non-traditional assessment in 'traditional' subjects: diversifying course assignments and enabling student-led learning through e-portfolios – University of Roehampton
Date: 04 April 2012
Time: 11am-4pm
Venue: Terrace Room, Grove House, University of Roehampton
The workshop will explore using ePortfolios in traditional subjects (classics, history, theology/religious studies, philosophy etc.) The workshop is not targeted at providing technical support which will already be available at delegates' HEIs. Instead, we will focus upon the impact that ePortfolios can have in learning and teaching (varying modes of assessment, delivering feedback and supporting different learning styles.) The particular value of this software in enhancing employability through supporting work placement/internship modules will also be investigated. These sessions will be built around concrete examples from Roehampton Humanities courses and will also acknowledge and explore the challenges posed by using ePortfolios.
This event is free to attend. For more information and to book onto the event, please visit the event website.
Best Wishes
