The 8th ELIA Academy will examine elasticity as a core momentum in today's learning and teaching in higher arts education. The event will take place 5-7 July 2017 and is co-organised by Central Saint Martins, the Teaching and Learning Exchange at the University of the Arts London and ELIA!

We are proud to introduce you to
ELIA Academy Speakers

·         Heather Barnett, an artist, researcher and educator working with natural phenomena, complex systems and biological design, will talk about Experiments in Elasticity: learning as a biological phenomenon.

·         Fred Deakin and Charlotte Webb, authors of Discovering the Post-Digital Art School will be discussing education for possible futures.

·         Bart van Rosmalen, improvising cellist and director, programme innovator, professor and moderator will be introducing the concept of three voices that can help professionals in higher arts education Stretching Elasticity in their work in the context of permanent change: the voice of the practice, the voice of inquiry and the voice of the artist.
