LIFT-Off - New Frontiers for Sustainability

Thursday 8th June, Park Campus, Cheltenham

 

Please find attached a 'save the date' invitation to our annual showcase event which this year marks the next phase of sustainability at University of Gloucestershire and the first year of our new LIFT: Learning Innovation for Tomorrow programme.

 

LIFT is the University's pedagogical innovation programme, led by the Sustainability Team in partnership with the Academic Development Unit. It reflects the strategic collaboration established at UoG between the two departments, to advance our Education for Sustainability work and support new academic initiatives and professional development in this area.

 

The event features:

 

·         8 new LIFT: Learning Innovation for Tomorrow projects within the University and in the community – covering a range of subjects including History, Psychology, Graphic Design, Advertising, Journalism, Photography, Sport, Criminology and Fashion.

 

·         Headline speaker Mark Wood, polar explorer and adventurer in online education

 

·         Celebration of sustainability at UoG and the release of our new Sustainability Strategy 2017-2022

 

·         Guest panel of leading experts in Higher Education, sustainability and pedagogical innovation

 

 

The event is free to attend and includes lunch and evening refreshments after the keynote speaker.
