The inaugural Social Media for Learning in Higher Education Conference #SocMedHE15 will be held at Sheffield Hallam University. This conference is about the use of social media for learning in Higher Education. It will create a forum for academics, their students and strategic managers to consider the opportunities, challenges, and the disruptive influence of social media for learning.
The conference has three themes to allow exploration of the pedagogic possibilities of social media, as well as the strategic and operational challenges institutions face in supporting it. The themes are:

Call for participation
Submissions addressing the above themes are welcome. We are particularly Proposals should be based on evidence and experience of academic, or strategic practice; in any of the following formats:
· short papers
· thunderstorm presentations
· and an open format to encourage creativity - “Surprise us”
