Call opens for the Professor Sir Ron Cooke International Scholarship Scheme
***APOLOGIES FOR CROSS-POSTS***
Dear colleagues
Applications are now invited for the Professor Sir Ron Cooke International Scholarship Scheme which supports individuals in the sector to explore innovative teaching practices and policies outside of the UK.
International scholars will spend between three to six months visiting international institutions to investigate examples of teaching excellence or alternative funding models. Scholars will then examine the possibility of implementing and testing these practices within a UK setting.
Proposed scholarships must have a clear benefit to either learning and teaching practice or to higher education policy within the UK. Dissemination of study outcomes to both the HEA and the wider community are fundamental to the success of this scheme and, must, therefore be identified clearly in any application.
The scheme is open to practicing academics in UK higher education providers which subscribe to the HEA. Applicants must have substantial and significant experience of UK higher education.
Decisions will be communicated to candidates by the end of April 2014.
You can find out more about the Scheme and make an application here.
The deadline for submission of an application is noon on 20 January 2014.
Kind regards
Tarn Driffield
