The first assessment and feedback seminar in the Higher Education Academy seminar series is due to take place shortly:
Exploring new approaches to assessing attitudes and behaviours
6 February 2012, University of East Anglia
6 February 2012, University of East Anglia
During medical training, assessment of attitudes and behaviour is carried out using a number of well-established and newly developed assessment methods. In this workshop we will be;
- debating the validity of assessing attitudes and behaviours;
- discussing the theory behind item types developed to measure attitudes and behaviours;
- exploring how item types may be adapted for use in a variety of domains outside medicine.
We hope that this workshop will be of particular interest to educators involved in subject areas where there is an interest in assessing behaviours and the ability to make valid judgments in ambiguous situations, or for educators new to healthcare education.
