Call for Session Proposals I am delighted to announce that this year we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the University’s Learning and Teaching Conference. The call for papers is now open. As with previous conferences we will not be adopting a specific thematic this year but instead inviting submissions around five key themes to encourage the widest range of submissions and staff engagement. These are: Theme 1: Student Engagement and Experience Theme 2: Employability and Enterprise Theme 3: Assessment and Feedback Theme 4: Technology Enhanced Learning Theme 5: Global Citizenship and Internationalisation As with previous events the aim is to showcase a range of practical examples and individual sessions will be limited to a maximum of 15 minutes, with 5 minutes for Q&As. We would particularly welcome papers that have a specific focus around relationship working with students and developing a sense of community. Papers that also illustrate the nexus between reasearch and learning and teaching are also welcomed. Submission Information If you would like to make a presentation at the event please send a session proposal (up to 200 words) including: - Title - Names and affiliations of authors (with contact email addresses for each contributor) - Session outline - contributors are asked to clearly indicate what elements of their current practice they will be ‘swapping’. Session proposals are invited from both academic and professional services colleagues within and external to the University of Chichester, and submissions are welcome from a broad range of subject areas, including (and not limited to): Business and Management, Engineering, Tourism, Sport, Geography, Adventure Education, Physical Education, Theology, Music, English, Media Studies, History, Law, Maths, Performing Arts, Dance, STEM Subjects, Fine Art, Social Work, Psychology, Childhood Studies, and Teacher Education. Session proposals should be submitted, via email, for review to Dr Andrew Clegg (a.clegg@chi.ac.uk), Principal Lecturer for Learning and Teaching, at the University of Chichester and titled ‘Session Proposal’ to arrive no later than Friday 16th March 2018. This is a free event for University of Chichester staff and to any external colleagues that are presenting, or who wish to attend.
