We are pleased to confirm Professor Daniella Tilbury and Dr Alex Ryan of the University of Gloucestershire as keynote speakers.

Professor Daniella Tilbury, Dean of Sustainability, University of Gloucestershire
Professor Tilbury is Marie Curie Professor in Education for Sustainability and Dean at the University of Gloucestershire. Daniella co-wrote the HEA Commissioned 'Flexible Pedagogies: New Pedagogical Ideas' report and led a large HEFCE funded 'Leadership, Governance and Management' project on embedding ESD into quality assurance processes in higher education. She chairs UNESCO's Global Monitoring and Evaluation Experts Group in Education for Sustainability and is the Director of the University Educators for Sustainable Development initiative which involves 54 university partners in 33 countries. Daniella a fellow of the Salzburg Global Academy, the Royal Society for the Arts (FRSA),  the Leadership Trust and Co-Chairs the Sustainable Futures Leadership Academy for Higher Education.

Dr Alex Ryan, Associate Director of Sustainability (Academic), University of Gloucestershire
Dr Ryan is responsible for curriculum and professional development at the University of Gloucestershire in Education for Sustainability and co-authored the HEA Commissioned 'Flexible Pedagogies: New Pedagogical Ideas' report. She managed the Leading Curriculum Change for Sustainability projectfunded by HEFCE in partnership with QAA, and is Academic Co-ordinator for the EC-funded University Educators for Sustainable Development project. She has been an academic consultant to HEA since 2004 in pedagogical development, evaluation of Subject Centres and ESD. Alex teaches Religious Studies with the Open University, is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts (FRSA) and Honorary Research Fellow at Cardiff University.








We continue to welcome abstracts of no more than 250 words for papers of no longer than 20 minutes - abstracts should be sent to Dr Chris Dennis (
ckdennis@cardiffmet.ac.uk).  We welcome papers on a variety of topics (please see attached CFP).
