Encouraging, Supporting and Recognising 'Lifewide' Learning in Universities & Colleges
Wednesday 26th March 2014
Clore Management Centre, Birkbeck, University of London
The conference and accompanying e-book recognises and celebrates the many different ways in which universities are encouraging, supporting and recognising lifewide learning. The conference will provide a forum for the exchange of knowledge and understanding about lifewide learning and personal development in higher education and consider the practicalities, challenges, opportunities and benefits of these more complete forms of education. The conference will be of particular interest to people who are involved in leading, managing and supporting student development through co- or extra-curricular skill-based awards, or who are involved in learning and development activity outside the academic curriculum.
Speakers include: Dr Christine Redecker, Professor Marcia Baxter Magolda, Professor Ronald Barnett, Harriet Barnes & Professor Norman Jackson PLUS Professor Vivien Jones, Dr Sarah Speight, Joy Perkins and Professor Carol Costley.
