PreConference Workshops Schedule is Live! 

Dear Colleagues:

International Conference for Educational Developers is proud to annouce pre-conference workshops have been scheduled and are now available for registration. These 3-hour workshops feature some of the best names in educational development and feature speakers from 7 different countries. 

Pre-conference workshops are in two different timeslots, 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm on Tuesday, June 5th, 2018. Registration is required for each workshop and includes lunch for all pre-conference workshop participants.

Call for Proposals Open! 

Conference submissions are open until March 12, 2018. For early acceptance please submit by December 22 @ 11:59pm EST. We are accepting both one-hour workshop proposals and twenty minute paper presentations.

Call for volunteers

ICED conferences succeed because of the generosity of many thoughtful volunteers. We are looking for volunteers in three critical areas: 

• A large team of session reviewers across multiple areas of expertise.
• Volunteers on social media platforms to amplify all conference communications.
• Volunteers at the registration desk during the conference.

Keynote speakers

The opening keynote panel will help us unpack the conference theme, "Institutional Change: Voices, Identities, Power and Outcomes." Our illustrious international keynote panelists include:

Dr. Torgny Roxå, Lund University, Sweden

The closing keynote, titled "Reimagining the Place of Students in Educational Development," will be delivered by Dr. Peter Felten, Elon University, USA.

We will profile each panelist and their work in the coming months to set the stage for the keynotes – watch for more news.

ICED is a professional consortium of 24 national educational development networks around the world, and it sponsors a vibrant conference, showcasing cutting-edge theoretical and practical advances in the field. The conference theme—Institutional Change: Voices, Identities, Power, and Outcomes—asks us all to consider what kind of results we are able to document when all voices are invited at the institutional and global tables. Together we claim the power that results from our rigorous and thoughtful practices.

We still have some places left for this UK Inclusive Practice Network event on Wednesday 13th of December to be held at the University of Wolverhampton - price for attendance only £50.

This concise 45-minute webinar will discuss the findings and practice implications arising from a large-scale, multi-institutional study conducted by the Australian Government funded 'Feedback for Learning: Closing the Assessment Loop' project. The webinar will explore current educator and student experiences of feedback, and discuss strategies to develop and support effective feedback designs.

We are running a hands-on workshop on authentic e-Exams suitable for educators, e-learning designers and e-learning technologists.

Title: Workshop 2 "Transforming exams: Hands on with the technology".
Date: Thursday 7 Dec: 10:00am to 1:30pm
