FW: HEA Inspirational Leaders seminar/webinar series

HEA Inspirational Leaders seminar/webinar series

The HEA has launched a new seminar series, looking at inspirational leaders in learning and teaching. This series will offer a programme of thought-provoking events looking at a selection of the HEA’s thematic work.

The events will be held in the HEA’s York office but simultaneously webcast to enable delegates to attend either in person or virtually. Topics will include online learning; students as partners; employability and retention and success.

Open online learning, 21 January 2014

The first seminar/webinar will take place on 21 January 2014, 12:45 – 15:00, on the topic of open online learning. The event will feature a discussion of the issues currently facing Open Education as it moves from ring-fenced funded project activity to become core-centrally supported activity. Dr Neil Morris (University of Leeds), Professor GrĂ¡inne Conole (University of Leicester) and Professor Ale Armellini (University of Northampton) will present how their leadership, in the approach to Open Educational Practice, will influence their institutions going forward.

There is no charge to attend, but a place (either in person or via the webinar) must be booked. Bookings are now open.

Best Wishes

Chris
