Dear all
Please see below for the BMAF Networks upcoming events for 2009:
13th November 2009
Developing Evidence Informed Practice in Markeeting Education
University of Westminster
The findings from the recent AM/BMAF funded Teaching and Learning Development projects will be presented at this workshop; participants will be provided with the opportunity to ask questions and gain further insights during the day. The aim of the workshop is to stimulate discussion, gain practical insights and allow time for networking.
20th November 2009
Preparing for Placement
Coventry University
This workshop aims to generate discussion and debate about the practice of preparing BMAF students for placement. Undertaking a placement is a key component in developing employability skills for many students. In the current economic climate the complexities of the tripartite relationship between student, employer and university bear further examination. How can academic staff ensure that students are well prepared to make the most of placement opportunities? What happens if a placement goes wrong? Are all placement providers altruistic? Come and share your experiences of the positive and sometimes challenging practices you have encountered.
27th November 2009
The International Agenda - Where Next? Challenges for Teaching and Learning
Northumbria University
This BMAF Internationalisation SIG workshop will feature sessions by Ian Shell (Associate Dean for Learning and Teaching, Newcastle Business School), Paul Coldwell (Regent's College), Yvonne Moogan (Liverpool Business School), Mike Pretious (Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh) and Berry O'Donovan (Deputy Director, ASKe Centre, Oxford Brookes University).
If you would like to attend any of the above workshops or would like more information please see our website at: http://www.heacademy.ac.uk/business/events/workshops or email: bmaf@brookes.ac.uk
