If you have not yet booked for iPED 2009, please note that the reduced rate deadline is only a few days away!

Dr Etienne Wenger will open this year’s conference with an exploration of the issues around teaching, learning and leadership in adopting a communities of practice approach to higher education policy.

Etienne will also offer a large-group workshop: Communities of practice: a social discipline of learning.

Other highlights include

Professor Maggi Savin-Baden: Keynote, Researching on the edge: working at the borders of ‘real’ and ‘immersive’ spaces;

Professor David Young: Keynote, More than “delivery”: transformative learning in the workplace.

This year’s conference promises to challenge you, support you, interest and inform you. Our mix of participants’ disciplines, nationalities and viewpoints provides a unique forum for sharing and debating your academic research interests.

I do hope you can join us.

best wishes

Virginia
