The Dynamics of Difference: Making it work.

                    July 1st 2009: Hendon Campus 9.15 -16.00

   Hosted by Middlesex University Business School in conjunction with
                The Centre for Learning and Quality Enhancement.

                                  Invitation to attend

With keynotes from Professor Liz Thomas, Director of the Widening
Participation Research Centre, Edge Hill University, and Carol Campayne,
Equality and Diversity Manager, London South Bank University, and a Director
of The Diversity Practice, addressing the issues and challenges of delivering
both diversity and inclusivity within higher education this promises to be an
interesting and enjoyable event.

In addition to these main sessions, there will be workshops on a variety of
diversity issues presented by Middlesex University staff and by invited external
visitors including:

•       Dr Jan Sellers from the University of Kent will bring along her
Labyrinth for participants to walk and explore.
•       Dr AndrĂ© Van der Westhuizen from the University of Portsmouth will
facilitate a session on The Gaming Generation.
•       John C McCarthy, Mental Health Coordinator from the University of
East London will also give a session on Innovation and Partnership in
Developing student pathways to care.

The charge for the day will be £50 to cover all refreshments and lunch.
