Fwd: TILT Festival of Learning – Contributions Deadline 20th March

Dear SEDA,

Professor Stephen Downes will take centre stage at this year's TILT Festival of Learning having just been announced as the event's second keynote presenter.

Professor Downes joins us from the National Research Council of Canada and will explore online active collaborative learning.

The theme for this year's Festival of Learning is active, collaborative learning, which looks to build on the approaches we have to the pedagogy here at Nottingham Trent University, for example within SCALE-UP.

Professor Downes' experience fits perfectly with this year's Festival theme as he is one of the originators of the first Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). As we move to an environment where online learning is becoming more commonplace, this keynote will offer a fascinating insight into how we can use online active collaborative learning as an innovation to enhance students' learning experiences.

The Festival takes place on 16 June 2020 at NTU's Clifton Campus, and is open for registration and contributions. We're looking for a range of colleagues to submit proposals which will celebrate the innovative practice in active, collaborative learning and contribute new knowledge. The more a proposal embodies the principles of active collaborative learning in delivery, the better!

You can register for this free event using our registration form. To submit a proposal, fill out our online form by 20 March 2020.
